Awareness & Advocacy

Cancer Research Institute

Cancer Research Institute is a non-profit organization who provides funding for the scientific research and advancement of immunotherapy cancer treatments. In addition to their work within the scientific community, CRI works directly with patients and their families to connect and match those in need with clinical trials for life-saving treatments.

In 2016, CRI organized their first ever Patient Summit in New York City. A full day event where patients and family members could connect with and hear from scientists and leading doctors about specific cancers, and pre-screen for treatment eligibility on the spot. Design for the event included a logo banner, online ticket promotion, email marketing, social media, venue signage, and printed literature for attendees.

June is Cancer Immunotherapy Awareness Month promoted through a robust campaign with the goal of boosting donations by calling for supporters to share why they #WhiteOutCancer. Multiple in-person and online fundraising events are held throughout the month, including the Answer to Cancer Bike Event, where printed smartphone shaped cards were distributed, instructing attendees to join in by uploading a photo of themselves to the campaign's website, and share on the social media platform of their choice.
